Founding Forward Deployed Engineer
You are the first engineer on site with our customers. You sit with their teams, connect their systems and build the first workflow that takes real work off their desks. Then you find the next twenty.
What you will do
- Learn how a customer works and find the first case where Arken helps.
- Connect systems such as SAP, GIS or document stores, and bring their data into our model.
- Set up agents in Move and Horizon for the customer’s processes, and review the results with the people who sign off.
- Bring back into the product whatever more than one customer needs.
- Build our deployment playbook together with the Deployment Strategist you work with.
What you bring
- You have built software that people use every day, and you like being on site with them.
- You write Python or TypeScript with confidence and like working with messy data.
- You can explain technology so that a planner or a procurement lead can follow.
This job is for you if
- You do your best work when things are unclear and nobody hands you a plan.
- You are among the best engineers your past teammates have worked with. Your code is simple, works, and is easy for the next person to change or remove.
- You ship small and often. A working version today beats a perfect one next month.
- You love responsibility. You say “I own this”, and you mean it.
- You run swarms of coding agents with confidence in your development work.
This job is not for you if
- You see a problem and wait for someone else to fix it.
- You hold on to things for too long. Arken Labs in six months will look completely different from today.
- You care more about your title than about what you build.
- Your work is just a job to you.
About Arken Labs
Most of the world’s infrastructure was built decades ago. We unlearned how to build it fast and at scale. Arken Labs is building the agentic operating system for physical infrastructure. Horizon helps teams decide where to invest. Move equips teams with AI agents that get the work done. We build for anyone who owns and runs infrastructure, public or private, anywhere in the world.
All roles are full-time and on-site in Berlin Mitte. You will work directly with the founding team.
